Below we explain several issues related to the organisation of the competition. Before you call us or submit a question to us, please read the rules and regulations of the competition and check if You find the answer to the concerining issue below.

Registrations and Fees

How can I register for the race?: The fastest way is to register on-line. Click the button: Join Us!
When is the deadline for registration?: The deadline for on-line registration expires on 11 April 2024 or when the limit of paid applications is reached. In case where there are available places, you will also be able to register at the competition office on 12 and 13 April 2024.
How to pay for participation in the half marathon?: Each competitor, upon registering, is automatically redirected to PayU payment page. There is also a possibility to pay the registration fee in cash at the headquarters of Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres (POSiR).
Where can I find the bank account number to pay the registration fee?: The registration fee must be paid through the PayU payment system, to which you will be redirected after completing the registration form and logging in to your competitor profile. Then you have to choose the icon: PAYMENTS.
If you have not managed to make a payment in the above manner, we specify our account number: PKO BP S.A. 19 1020 4027 0000 1702 1262 2355. Write your registration number in the title of the transfer.
When is the bib number assigned and how can I check it?: The system automatically assigns the first available number from the pool of numbers right after the registration fee is entered into books. The competitor is then immediately notified by e-mail about the number assigned.
Will I be refunded the registration fee if I resign from my participation in the competition?: No, you will not. According to the rules and regulations, once paid, a fee is not subject to refund or transfer to other events organised by POSiR.
Is it necessary to provide e-mail address in the application form?: It is mandatory to provide your e-mail address. A confirmation of the application along with information on how to log in to the individual profile of the participant will be submitted to the e-mail address provided.
Can I change a T-shirt size in my application?: Yes, you have this opportunity until 14 March 2024.
Can I change the zone type on my application?: Yes, you can. You have this opportunity until 3 April 2024.
I am unable to start the competition. Can I transfer the registration fee to another person?: Yes, you have this possibility until 3 April 2024, i.e., you can transfer the start package to another person. In this case you have to log in to your individual competitor profile and click the TRANSFER BIB NUMBER button. Remember that the person to whom you transfer the bib number must be registered for the 15th Poznań Half Marathon.
What about my fee if the run doesn’t take place?: According to the regulations, it will be returned to you.

Start Package

Can minors start in the the half marathon?: No. The right to start has been granted to persons who at the latest on 14 April 2024 turn 18 years old.
Where and at what time can I collect the start package?: You can collect the start package at the Competition Office, which will be located in Hall 3 of the Poznań International Fair, 14 Głogowska Street, on 12-13 April 2024.
The Competition Office will be open at the following times:
12/04/2024 (Friday) within 10:00a.m. – 08:00p.m.,
13/04/2024 (Saturday) within 10:00a.m. – 08:00p.m.
Can I collect the start package on the day of the half marathon?: No, you cannot. The Half Marathon Office is closed on the day of the race.
What should I have with me to collect the start package?: When collecting the start package you must present identity document or start card.
What to do if I cannot collect my start package in person?: If you are unable to collect your start packet in person, please provide your start card (a photocopy/scan will suffice) or a photocopy of your identity document to the person who will collect the package for you.
What is included in the start package?: The start package includes: an envelope with a bib number, 4 safety pins, a sticker with a number for luggage to a depository/locker room, a bag/sack, a chip for time measurements, promotional materials of sponsors. Additional elements of the starter pack will be published on an ongoing basis in accordance with the cooperation with Partners and Sponsors.
Is it possible to send the package by mail / courier?: No. Packages are issued only at the Competition Office.
Where can I find the size chart of T-shirts?: We will publish detailed information once the design of the shirts is completed.

Transport

How do I get to the Half Marathon Office?: Office location (14 Głogowska Street, Hall 3, entrance through the East Hall from Głogowska Street). You can plan your route here: City Transportation Authorities (ZTM) – timetable.
How to get to the start of the half marathon?: Location of the start (intersection of Grunwaldzka Street / Roosevelta Street) near the Sheraton Hotel. You can plan your route here: City Transportation Authorities (ZTM) – timetable.
Are the participants entitled to a discount on public transport?: Yes, during a control you need to show your bib number and identity card. The right to free public transport applies to zones A+B+C and is valid between 12-13 April 2024.

Start and Route

At what time does the half marathon start?: At 10:00 a.m.
Where will the start of the half marathon be located?: At Grunwaldzka street. Near the Sheraton Poznań Hotel and Poznań International Fair.
What is the time limit in the half marathon?: The time limit for the run completion by the competitors is of 3 hours. The competitors who do not finish the run until 01:00 p.m. are obliged to discontinue running and get off from the run route or reach the finish by the minibus marked with the ‘Half Marathon’s Finish’ sign.
Are special medical examinations required to participate in the half marathon?: No. Each competitor takes part in the Half Marathon at his/her own risk. Nevertheless, we suggest to have a medical examination prior to the start of the preparation and before the run itself.
Where will the locker rooms for competitors be located?: The locker rooms will be located in Hall 3A at Poznań International Fair Ltd.
Can wheelchairs users participate in the half marathon?: No, they cannot.
Can participants on roller skates participate in the half marathon?: No, they cannot.
Can I run with my dog?: Yes, but the dog has to be on a leash.
Can I run with a pushchair of jogger type?: Yes, but please place them further away from the start zone so as not to impede faster runners.
What will be served at the nutrition points?: Water and chocolate at all points and an isotonic drink at points 10, 15 and 20 km.

Can I be assisted on the route by a friend on a bike?: No. Bicycle traffic on the run route is forbidden.

Finish Line and Results

Where can I find the run results?: On the website at halfmarathon.poznan.pl under the Results tab. Unofficial results of the half marathon will be posted directly after the run and the official final announcement will be posted after the final results of anti-doping tests are available.
Will I receive my result by SMS?: Yes, each person who provides an accurate mobile phone number in the application form will receive their result via SMS.
Will I be able to take a shower after the run?: Yes, each competitor can use the showers located in Hall 3A at Poznań International Fair Ltd.

General

Are the participants of the half marathon insured?: Yes, each competitor along the race route is covered by personal accident insurance (NNW).
Does PASTA – PARTY take place?: No.
