How do I sign up for the run?

The fastest option is to apply on-line. Click on the ‘Sign up’ button..

When is the final time limit for applications?

The time limit for on-line applications is 10 April 2025 or once the limit of paid applications has been reached. If places are available, applications will also be available at the race office on 11 and 12 April 2025.

How can I make the payment for a participation in the half marathon

Each competitor, after signing up, is automatically redirected to the Autopay payment page. It is also possible to pay the start fee in cash at the headquarters of the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres (POSiR). In the case of group applications by companies, please contact us at our e-mail address: info@halfmarathon.poznan.pl.

Where can I find my bank account number to pay the start fee?

The start fee must be paid through the Autopay payment system, to which you will be redirected after completing the sign up form and logging in to your competitor profile. You must then select the icon: PAYMENTS. Should you not be able to make the payment in the above manner, we provide our account number: PKO BP S.A. 19 1020 4027 0000 1702 1262 2355. Please write your application number in the title of the transfer.

When is my bib number assigned and how can I check it?

The system automatically assigns the first available number from the pool of numbers as soon as the start fee is posted. The competitor is then immediately notified by e-mail that the number has been allocated.

Why is my bib number red?

As you did not tick the relevant consents when you have signed up, without which you will be missing from the photos on our social media. If you want to avoid this, please log in to your runner profile and tick the relevant consent to avoid disappointment on the day of the run.

I have completed all Poznań half marathons, am I exempt from the fee?

Yes, competitors who have completed all previous 16 editions of the Poznań Half Marathon are entitled to start the race free of charge. When signing up for the run they will automatically be exempted from the start fee.

Will I be refunded the start fee if I resign from the participation?

No. According to the rules and regulations, once paid, the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable to other events organised by the Poznań Sports and Recreation Centres (POSiR).

Is it necessary to provide an e-mail address in the application form?

The provision of an e-mail address is obligatory. A confirmation of your application will be sent to this e-mail address along with information on how to log in to your individual participant profile, and upon the payment of the fee, confirmation of the assignment of your bib number will be sent to you.

Can I change the T-shirt size on my application form?

Yes, you have this opportunity until 13 March 2025 in your runner profile. At our stand in the Expo area, where T-shirts are on sale, there is also the possibility to exchange for another size (while stocks last).

Can I change the zone type on my application form?

Yes. You have this opportunity until 24 March 2025.

I cannot start the race. Can I transfer my start fee to another person?

Yes. You can transfer the package to another person until 24 March 2025. In this case you have to log in to your individual competitor profile and click on the TRANSFER A BIB NUMBER button. Remember that the person to whom you transfer the bib number must be signed up for the 17th PKO Poznań Half Marathon.

What about my fee if the run does not take place?

In accordance with the rules and regulations, it will be refunded to you.

Can minors participate in the half marathon?

No. The right to take part is granted to persons who will be 18 years old on 13 April 2025 at the latest.


Start package

 

When will the start card be available?

The start card will be available for download from the competitor’s individual profile between 7-10 April 2025 and will be sent by a text message with a link also between 7-10 April 2025.

Where will it be possible to collect the start package and at what times?

The start package can be collected at the Competition Office, which on 11-12 April 2025 will be located in the Hall 3 of the Poznań International Fair, at 14 Głogowska Street.

The Competition Office will be open at the following times:

11 April 2025 (Friday) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

12 April 2025 (Saturday) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Is it possible to collect the start package on the day of the half marathon?

No. On the day of the race the Competition Office is closed.

What do I need to have with me to collect the start package?

Identity card or start card must be presented when collecting the start package.

What should I do if I cannot collect my start package in person?

If you are unable to collect your package in person, hand over your start card (a scan on your telephone/photocopy will be sufficient) to the person who will collect your package for you.

What does the start package contain?

The start package includes: envelope, bib number with time measurement chip, 4 safety pins, bag, advertising material of the Sponsors. Additional elements of the start package will be published on an ongoing basis in accordance with the cooperation with the Partners and the Sponsors. The official T-shirt of the 17th PKO Poznań Half Marathon can be purchased on a separate basis.

Is it possible to send the package by post/courier?

No. Packages are issued only at the Competition Office..

Where can I find the table of sizes for the T-shirts?

We will publish detailed information in the information for participants section once the design of the T-shirts has been finalised.

How do I get to the half marathon office?

Are competitors entitled to a discount on public transport?

Yes. You will need to show your bib number and identity card during the inspection. The right to travel free on public transport applies to the A+B+C zones and is valid from 11-13 April 2025.

Start Line and Route

 

At what time does the half marathon start?

At 10:00 a.m.

Where will the start line of the half marathon be located?

At Grunwaldzka Street. In the vicinity of the Sheraton Poznan Hotel and Poznan International Fair.

What is the time limit in the half marathon?

The limit of time to complete the Half Marathon is 3 hours. Competitors who do not finish the race by 13:00 are obliged to discontinue the race and reach the finish line by a minibus with the sign ‘End of the Half Marathon’.

Are special medical examinations required to participate in the half marathon?

No. Each competitor takes part in the half marathon at their own risk. Nevertheless, we suggest that you carry out a medical examinations before starting your preparation and before the race itself.

Where will the deposits for competitors be located?

Depositories will be located in the Hall 3A at the Poznań International Fair.

Can wheelchair racers take part in the half marathon?

Yes. In the edition of the half-marathon this year, the right to start will be given to competitors in direct drive wheelchairs (active ones).

Can I start with trekking poles or Nordic walking poles?

Due to the nature of the half marathon, it is forbidden to start with trekking poles and Nordic walking poles.

Can skaters compete in the half marathon?

No, they cannot.

Can you run with a dog?

Yes, but the dog must be on a leash.

Can you run with a jogger pram?

Yes, but please position yourself further down the start line so as not to impede faster competitors.

What will be served at the nutrition points?

All refreshment points will offer water, chocolate, additionally refreshment points at km 10, 15 and 20 will provide an isotonic drink.

What is the route of the race?

Can I be assisted on the running route by a friend on a bike?

No. Bicycle traffic on the route of the run is prohibited.


Finish Line and Results

 

Where can I find results from the race?

On the website under the Results tab. Unofficial results of the half marathon will be posted immediately after the run and the official final announcement will be published after the final results of the anti-doping tests. Remember to tick the relevant consents on the application form when signing up. A lack of consents may result in your surname not appearing on the list of results.

Will I receive my result by text message?

Yes, anyone who enters a valid mobile number on the application form and indicates the relevant consents on the form will receive their result by a text message.

Will there be a possibility to take a shower after the race?

Yes. Each competitor may use the showers which are located in the Hall 3A at the Poznań International Fair.

What is the Poznań Run Expo?

The Poznań Run Expo has been an integral part of Poznań running events for many years. The event takes place on the grounds of the Poznań International Fair. It will start on the Friday before the Half Marathon and last for three days. You will find exhibitors’ stands with shoes, nutrients, supplements, gels and much more.
