The patronage over the race shall be exercised by the Mayor of the City of Poznań, Ryszard Grobelny.
- Date and place
- The race will take place on 28 March 2010 through the streets of Poznań with a finish line over Malta.
- Start: in ul. abpa Antoniego Baraniaka (about 1,5 km from canoe hangars – the Halfmarathon changing room) at 10:00 am.
Competitors must show up for participation at the start between 9:30 am and 9:40 am.
- Finish line: Malta – canoe hangars.
- Route length: 21.097 km – the route is AIMS and IAAF certified.
- Competitors shall line up at the start in the following order:
- roller skaters and competitors in wheelchairs – start at 9:50 am
- competitors with starting numbers from 1 to 50 (designated zone)
- followed by other competitors
- Each kilometre of the route will be marked.
- Time measurement in the Champion Chip system – the official time is gross time.
- Nutrition, refreshing and control points as well as time limit.
- Nutrition points will be located every 5 km or so.
The tables at the nutrition points will be arranged as follows:
- the first one – water
- the second one – isotonic beverages
- In the route there will be control points, including in the Champion Chip system. The staff will write down the starting numbers of competitors who cut the route short. Competitors who cut the route short will be disqualified.
- Competitors shall be bound by time limit of 3 hours. The route of the Halfmarathon shall be closed for vehicular traffic until 1:00 pm. Competitors who will fail to finish the race until 1:00 pm will be obliged to stop running and get to the finish line by a shuttle bus with the inscription "Koniec Półmaratonu" ("End of the Halfmarathon").
- Participation
- 3 Poznań Halfmarathon may be attended by people who turned 18 years of age by 28 March 2010.
- Roller skating race may be attended by minors who turned 16 years of age by 28 March 2010 upon their parents' consent in writing (form).
- Roller skaters and competitors in wheelchairs are obliged to have protective helmets. In addition, it is advisable to wear knee and elbow pads.
- All participants in 3 Poznań Halfmarathon must be verified at the Halfmarathon Office on 26-27 March 2010. For verification, the competitors should present their IDs or passports and the evidence of the participation fee payment.
- The changing rooms will be located near the Halfmarathon finish line (canoe hangars). Competitors shall leave their belongings packed in sacks bearing their starting numbers until 9:30. The sacks shall be returned upon presenting the starting number. The organizer shall not be responsible for collecting the sack by other person, if the participant loses the starting number. The organizer advises that personal belongings of competitors staying for the night at the POSiR Hall should be deposited. The organizer shall not bear responsibility for belongings which are not left at the changing room.
- The Halfmarathon participants shall be bound by IAAF and PZLA provisions as well as these Regulations.
- Medical examinations
- During the verification, the participants must set down their personal signature on a list of people who agree to take part in the Halfmarathon at their own responsibility (form).
- In special cases which require a medical examination, the doctor’s decision before and during the race shall be definite.
- Classifications
- The following classification shall apply during the 3 Poznań Halfmarathon:
- general – female and male competitors
- by sex and age: 18-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and more
- general – female and male roller skaters
- general – female and male disabled competitors in wheelchairs with direct drive – type I
- general – female and male disabled competitors in wheelchairs with indirect drive (chain drive) – type II
- age classification shall not apply to roller skaters and competitors in wheelchairs
- The final announcement shall be placed at http://www.halfmarathon.poznan.pl (to download), within 30 days after receiving a report from the Anti-Doping Commission.
- Applications for participation

The Office is open at this address until 25 March 2010. From 26 March 2010 to 27 March 2010, the Office will be located in the Multimedia Building of the Regatta Route, Malta ul. Krańcowa 98, 61-131 Poznań, tel. (61) 876 60 11, fax. (61) 876 62 83.
- The deadline for submitting applications is 15 March 2010, and the participation fee amounts to PLN 40 gross.
- The number of the runners is limited by the organizer to 3000 people, and additionally to 300 people in case of roller skaters and competitors in wheelchairs.
- Applications shall be submitted via a participation form which can be downloaded at http://www.halfmarathon.poznan.pl and at the Halfmarathon Office in application sheets of the Poznań Halfmarathon (xerox copies are acceptable).
- To apply for participation, the participant must submit a completed form and pay a participation fee of PLN 40 gross into the organizer’s account. The participation fee must get to the organizer's account by 22 March.
The fee paid is not refundable. By the same token, the applicant admits to have read the regulations and undertakes to follow them as well as agrees to the processing of his or her personal data for the needs of the Halfmarathon.
Note:
- after 15 March applications will not be accepted
- people who declare to run with a yellow chip shall pay a participation pack fee reduced by gross PLN 10.
- The organizer shall not bear responsibility for the loss of the application or the postal order (bank transfer) – the participation fee by fault of the post office (bank).
- Verification of the competitors and delivering the starting numbers and keepsakes shall take place at the Organization Office, ul. Krańcowa 98, on:
- 26 March 2010 between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm
- 27 March 2010 between 09:00 am and 9:00 pm
On the Halfmarathon day, the Office will be closed.
Disposable chips are not refundable – the time measurement fee is included in the participation fee.
- Prizes
- Winners in female general category (1st-3rd places – cash prizes), in male general category (1st-3rd places – cash prizes), in female and male roller skaters' general category (1st-3rd places – cash prizes) and in female and male wheelchair competitors' general category (1st-3rd places – cash prizes) and cups.
- Winners in particular age and sex categories, excluding roller skates and wheelchairs, shall receive a cup for the 1st place.
- Competitors in female general classification (1st-3rd places) and male general classification (1st-3rd places) are entitled to prizes according to the order of crossing the finish line.
- Competitors in female and male age categories are entitled to cups according to the net time classification.
- All female and male competitors who will finish the race within 3 hours shall receive a medal.
- Winners of cash prizes shall have income tax deducted pursuant to the applicable regulations of the law.
- Cash prizes won by competitors shall be paid only by bank transfer into the competitors’ accounts (the prizes shall not be paid in cash) upon receiving a report from the Anti-Doping Commission.
- To have a cash prize paid into the account, the competitor must complete and deliver necessary forms required by the Tax Office within 30 days from the event end date. To download the form, click here.

- Anti-doping control
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in female and male general category shall undergo anti-doping control.
- Accommodation
- The organizer shall provide free accommodation in the night of 27 and 28 March 2010 at the Sports Hall, ul. Chwiałkowskiego 34, to all competitors who select a reservation in the participation application. The organizer does not provide mattresses or sleeping bags.
- Competitors shall be accepted for accommodation on 27 March 2010 upon presenting the starting number.
- Competitors, who report at the Halfmarathon Office in the night of 27 and 28 March shall be directed to the Sports Hall for accommodation, if there is a vacancy.
- Nutrition
- On 27 March 2010 between 2:00 pm and 8 pm the Pasta Party will be held.
For participants in the Halfmarathon, the fee for the pasta party is PLN 2 and is not included in the participation fee.
- After finishing the race, the competitors shall receive a meal and beverages.
- Financing
- The cost of the participation fee, travelling and other services shall be covered by the event participants or the delegating organizations.
- The participation fee covers:
- starting number + safety pins
- changing room number
- sponge
- clothes sack for the changing room – cloakroom
- beverages in the route and at the finish line
- T-Shirt
- Final provisions
- The organizer shall provide medical services in the route and at the finish line of the Halfmarathon. All participants of the Halfmarathon may benefit from a massage made by the students from the University of Physical Education in Poznań.
- Protests in writing may be submitted to the Halfmarathon Organization Office at the email address: info@halfmarathon.poznan.pl.
The protests shall be settled by the Director of the Halfmarathon – the decisions shall be irrevocable. The protests shall be settled within 3 days.
- Each participant is insured against accidents during the race.
- Participants in the race must wear aesthetic clothes and footwear.
- During the race, competitors should have their starting numbers fixed to their sports shirts in their breasts. Covering the number partly or entirely is forbidden under the pain of disqualification.
- During the race, all competitors must have a chip fixed to their left or right leg at the level of their ankles (shoelaces).
Putting chips in other places may lead to disqualification.
- The Director of the Poznań Halfmarathon is entitled to interpret these regulations.
