Chabowski and Nadolska the winners of the 10. PKO Poznań Half Marathon!

The 10. PKO Poznań Half Marathon passes into history as a strong fight for victory between one Pole and the two Kenyans. The winner is Marcin Chabowski from Wejherowo with time 01:03:15.

Biggest achievement belongs to Karolina Nadolska who broke national record and Poznań course record with time 01:09:53.

Runners started the race in beautiful weather from Grunwaldzka Street and finished it at the Poznań International Fair. For the first time in history of the half marathon in Poznań, the finish line was located in a hall, where organizers set up amazing lights and music show. Finish line itself was made of a huge led screen where welcoming slogans were shown with energetic orange fumes. To make atmosphere even more spectacular, there was Mezo concert on stage.

10 389 runners completed the race. Most of them were the Poznań citizens whose families and friends cheered on them in the streets. Each contestant was given a medal and there was a lottery conducted after the half marathon.

10 people won financial prizes 1000 PLN each, but the real excitement was noticeable where the entry for football match between Lech Poznań and Legia Warszawa was being drown in the lottery. The person, who crossed the finish line as the 2017th runner, won the weekend stay in Bellevue hotel in Dresno – the prize founded by Sheraton Poznań Hotel.
